Thread regarding Ford layoffs

What was the package offered for the last major layoff (June 2023)?

Preparing for the inevitable / worst case scenario. Were there any packages offered for those laid off and if so, what was the breakdown based on years of service?

I have read on multiple sites that it is illegal for a company to ask you to sign an "I will not sue" statement. You should consult an attorney.

Box. Door. Don’t let it hit you in the a-s when you leave.

It wasn't a package which was offered. You were simply laid off and you can sign the "I won't sue" statement to get whatever measly severance which they offered you. I think if you were there less than 3 years it was one month of pay.

It is a package offer. Not that you don't get to stay, but if you refuse to sign the "I won't sue" document then you don't get the severance.

So yes you can still turn down the offer even if you don't get to keep your job.

Aug22 separations..

I had 33 yrs and got 9 months of pay and 9 months of Benefits.

I think that was the case for 20-30+ yrs of service.

It was less for fewer yrs of service.

I wouldn’t call it “packages offered”. That implies you have the choice to stay if you want to turn down their offer.

You were fired (must leave regardless) and if you signed the form that you wouldn’t sue the company in the future, you would get severance pay based on your years of service.

I’m sure there was one. Go to the HR site and search CTP(Career Transition Plan) and /or SISP( Salaried Income Security Plan). Breakdown is there.
