Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Lets Face It

This company is being tanked on purpose. And if you think this statement is ridiculous, prove otherwise.

Lets not forget the hidden agenda. Hans is on the board of BlackRock...Hans destroyed Nortel after Ericsson acquired them. Hans destroyed Ericsson. Now Hans is destroying Verizon. Everything Hans touches fails. At some point you need to question if its not intentional.

Lowell the back bench, 4th String CEO came from a little itty bitty wireless company home-based in Westlake, TX and itty bitty town of less than 900 millionaires, and billionaires, including the Hunt Family and Ross Perot will thousands and thousands of acres. There are probably more Long Horns than people still in Westlake.

What it also had was the remnants of an IBM think-tank, from when they were in, which housed the itty bitty wireless company that was in a partnership with Bell Atlantic Wireless and had a noncompete agreement in the markets of San Diego, Texas, and Tampa. Oh, by the way, did you know that GTE Headquartered in DWF, and Bell Atlantic had agreed to form a partnership that would be called Verizon? And well GTE just happened to be the top line wireless company in all three of those markets. How bout that!

Needless to say it became imperative for Bell Atlantic to just buy that itty bitty wireless company so that Verizon would not have to shut down its insanely profitable and growing wireless business in those three markets. Well doncha know that so smart aleky foreign wireless company in Europe called Vodafone just happened to beat out Bell Atlantic in their bids for that itty bitty wireless company from Westlake, Texas.

And that boys and girls is how Verizon ended up with wealth ki-ler Lowell who brought in and serious heavy-weight wealth ki-ler named Hans. Film at 11!

It is impossible to believe anyone competent would have made the major business decisions that Hans and Lowell have made. Go90, AOL, Yahoo, ISIS (then softcard), Bluejeans, Team comp, Mm wave 5g, Hum, Outsourcing IT to infosys and then customer service, going with the cheapest bidder for all of our systems, lowering prices while our network was still vastly better then allowing T fing Mobile to overtake us and now nickel and diming customers with these stupid perks that for features that were formerly included in plans and a very strong selling point given how trash our network is now. And that is just what I can think of off the top of my head.

Lowell and Hans both probably signed their contracts in manuscript with scratch and sniff crayons.

Agreed. But why? Is it just due to the narcissist epidemic in executive leadership? They make more money (kickbacks, bribes, etc) driving the company into the ground rather than making the company succeed? Or is it a passive-aggressive foreign takeover? Hard to say.

i’d expect it is a required course at mba school how to squeeze everything out of a company for short term profit and get out before it sinks. So nothing specific to VZ it is all corporations.

It is interesting that many if not most of the native American leadership have been fired or pushed out to make way for the people who are tanking this company and offshoring jobs. Time to get Congress involved. This is a national security problem now.

I’m Santa poster. The pint is this. You make an assertion, it is your responsibility to back it up with facts, not just make up some crazy stuff and then tell people to disprove it.

Windstream did the same thing when they 'had' to file for Chapter 11 - then their debt was 'restructured' and now a private company, they are still getting money from the feds for broadband installs...win/win for the executive team, bad for the share holders and employees, good for lobbyists/congress.

And remind me again about Chinese companies 'spying' on us to steal 'trade secrets' is a National Security Issue? They are probably laughing their heads off.

FACTS! Dump the stock price, force people out and cut costs. AI will help companies cut more costs aka People. Writing has been on the wall and big Corps don't give a po-p about quality customer service so everyone is expendable. Prove me wrong son! Humans are d-mb and will deal with bad service unfortunately.

Dear Santa Claus person, who in their right might would have bough AOL and Yahoo when we did? Bluejeans? The "hardlining" with the union Lowell did for show that did nothing but waste money when it was obvious the company could have just made the same deal without the strike drama? I mean the positive proof is all there to OP's assertion. Is there any proof otherwise?
