Allegedly, last year there was a lockbox location that had a manager that hid work in a conference room for months.
Prior to the work being discovered several low level workers were displaced due to their being so little work. A few sites were closed were closed due to efficiency of this one site.
When employees were doing exited interviews with HR, after about the 4th or 5th person stated there is a room full of work that was unprocessed, HR decided to alert the director of the lockbox, swift banking, wire transfers, etc. this issue was so bad that person had to work out of that office to get a handle on the situation. This guy was big deal. Even Sharon Murphy got involve.
To make matters worse several companies did not get their payments process on time. They had to declare bankruptcy and they sued WF.
Obviously the manager was fired. He was escorted out the building. Other team leads that didn’t know about the situation were let go too.
I’m not sure where things are now. There were rumors the manager was going to be sued by the bank.
Even the mail room was concerned because 70 percent of their work was lock box/item processing.
