Layoff Coming

I am fairly sure a big wave of layoffs is coming - when does Cisco typically do this?

Reading further: "San Jose-based Cisco’s WARN letters were dated July 17, although the EDD posted the layoff information on Sept. 12".

Ha, the second round was communicated on July 17 and the exit day is Oct 16. So, that are no new layoffs.

That url got really butchered. From the website:

The digital technology conglomerate [cisco] reported that it plans to jettison 350 jobs on or around Oct. 16, affecting workers in San Jose and Milpitas, according to official filings with the state Employment Development Department. Cisco has decided to lay off 227 workers in San Jose and another 123 employees in Milpitas, the state filings show.

It's amazing how much people will put up with. Cisco is a woke husk of a formerly great company that is slowly engineering jobs from the US to India. The only people they want in the US are those who train their replacements or the young, cheap, and woke to help boost their DEI initiatives. Get smart and get out.

Of course layoffs are coming. It's tradition. Take it easy, do the bare minimum. Tilt the work-life balance in your favor. LRs hit just about anybody no matter your track record. Work hard, slack off, be frugal, spend like it's Vegas: same outcome. Look at Hyperflex: they're all gonna get laid off. The good ones and the bad ones alike.

Cisco and layoffs... In popular tech culture, no two words more intertwined than these.

I'm fairly sure a sunset is coming - when does Cisco typically do this?

Layoffs are like commuter trains. If you miss one another will be along shortly.

You are sure about one but not about the other? Hmmm.

I hope they clean the sewage in the U.K. , preferably top-down. I cannot breathe in this environment. Needs a very thorough rinse, scrub and clean of the entire management layer.
