Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Beaumont lately has changed for the worse

I work in Beaumont and the last 3 months have been miserable. 60-80hrs a week. Non stop meetings, followed by meetings to discuss what additional meetings we want to have, and then when that’s not working, meetings to discuss how we should be doing better. I work in the refinery and the current situation was known to be coming years ago, and now everyone is shocked what was predicted to happen, did happen. I’m exhausted and it’s only been getting worse. Worst I’ve seen in at least 10 years. Current leadership is abysmal - integration is a disaster and leadership don’t want to listen to feedback and just tell you how much you su-k - directly, indirectly, implied, through other, or through mind games.

They’re going to have to find a lot of new people to tell how much they su-k soon because people won’t put up with this for much longer. I haven’t gotten a thank you since 2 leadership teams ago, despite doing 2-3x the amount of work. Unhappy employees will lead to poor performance. Nothing is good enough. Will be leaving whether or not the pay is better. This place has turned toxic.

3 months is not exactly a time frame to judge a complex. I have to guess you are a new employee out of college because if you were here 10 years ago, 60 hrs were the norm mostly consisting of meetings. The ranking system is a disgrace but the working hrs are actually better. Example many people work from home on Friday. This would have never happend pre-Covid.

Lol we know who you are is your pseudonym lol

Lemme guess you think oil is highest paying industry that will continue to grow? Oh yes more ICE growth for your crude C over the next 10-15 years lol. I bet you invest all your stock in xom.

Don't be a such a miserable childless xom slave. That pension isn't worth wasting the best years of your life. The pay isn't even top notch anymore especially when you factor in the time spent.

@mcr+1ozuxwTt & @mcr+1ozuxwTt

You both are the biggest a--holes. Looks like you both had to work there to because you cannot find another job or living paycheck by paycheck or may be blind or may be a spineless human body, lol.

Beaumont refinery su-ks and people from offshore making it more su-k. European tech manager who can't even speak properly. Baby mama tech supervisors who cannot stand/confront against their manager to support their sub ordinates.

BMRF is GONE!!!

So why are you still at Beaumont? Same reason all the cry babies complain about ExxonMobil…unemployable. Leave and see what happens. We won’t miss you. Sounds like all you do is go to meetings, try putting that on a resume. Apply for other jobs and when you get no response, the “we reviewed you resume and decided to move on”, or an interview and job offer for $60k, then realize how lucky you are to be employed by ExxonMobil and hope no one figures out how useless you are. Try doing some useful work for once, work that benefits the company in some way, or just leave.
