November Layoffs

Any information on this yet? Will it be similar to the last layoff as far as compensation goes? Are they taking volunteers again?

I admit, I didn’t believe it. Here we are though. Crown is so toxic. I really hope I’m laid off this time. Any hope they’ll change their no volunteer stance like they did last time.

No volunteers. Either accept date for moving to new desk in Houston or take separation date. Severance is 8 weeks guaranteed with 2 weeks per year employed. No equity vesting after Feb 2024. 401k unvested will be forfeited the date of separation.

Worse than last round, but similar. Last round still got screwed, just not as Nad as this next one will be.

There is also another layoff schedule for March of 2024. Canonsburg will close last 2 offices in August 2024.

On what planet is nobody over worked? My team was short handed before they cut half off the team. Now it is he-l. Not to mention they cut all the field guys we relied on, so the work we have is like diving into a black hole. If you think “no one at crown is busy” then you and the department around you are whatever is dragging us down. Just because orders are down doesn’t mean the work of maintaining what we have vanishes. In some ways it gets worse because the customers who aren’t focused on new orders are nitpicking every little issue they can find to justify their own existence.

No one should be overworked. If you are, the joke’s on you. Do your 40 hrs, turn off the computer and don’t let the Clowns make you feel guilty for it. That’s what I’m doing since Clown will cut you without blinking an eye.

Are these going to be targeted at teams that already saw major cuts, or a different part of the company? Everyone I work with right now is stretched extremely thin and trying to fit 80 hours of work into 40 hour weeks. I don’t know how things would even function with another cut.

Open reqs on ultipro mean nothing. How many of them make it to outside job boards ? 80% of them are already designated for someone's buddy. If you don't believe me watch the promotions/new hire segment on the network town hall

The amount of open reqs. on Ultipro don't mean a damn thing. We had lots open in August when they laid off just over a thousand people, after which they opened even more jobs at lower salaries. So if you're banking on the fact that they're hiring is going to prevent another round of layoffs, I'd suggest waking the he-l up.

We are still in shock and recovering from my husband’s layoff after giving 9 1/2 years to that place. I hope that the rumors are wrong and nobody else has to deal with all that comes with starting over with a new career when in your 50s….. it seriously SU-KS!

It’s not going to be a giant sweep this time and they will not accept volunteers either. Nov-Feb is the timeline and it’ll be in 2 phases for 400 more.

There have been no talk of layoffs in South Florida network. I think most of this layoff talk come from people who are bitter from being recently let go so they're now wishing for the rest of us to get laid off.

I bet anybody that nothing happens in November.

Shame is it wont effect CL, KR or JP (or the other VPs). These id--ts have collectively destroyed the fiber team. Our team has stopped working for JP. Enough is enough with the garbage and nonsense. As JP says, we are just McDonald's employees. Let's see how he makes out while we work to rule.
