Market sort of considers bought back stock as not in circulation then each time EM spends those then it appears as if EM diluted the shares.

Significant purchase of shale reserves in a market high....History doesn't always repeat but it often rhymes. The old Exxon would have bought Pioneer for $5B in 2020 instead of borrowing money to pay dividends

Or, just hear me out, there are about to be an additional $60 B in treasury shares added to the float as a result of this all stock based merger, diluting outstanding shares.

Don’t kid yourself that any stockholder cares one wh-t about an SVP getting handsy with a lady of the night.

This always happens with the purchasing company. They’re spending money now for value in the future. The price change represents the risk of making it to the expected future value.
