Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Farley s$#ting the bed

Sorry, but I relish in the fact that this doofus is being brought down by the UAW. Smug a$%hole walked on a cloud the last few years. Vintage racing, spreading the EV lie, kissing Ford family a-s, hiring more over compensated doofuses, declining market share, etc. Now it’s just pure vinegar for him. Karma

4srl and others in this thread were right about JF days being numbered. The shuffling and positioning has begun with Kumar COO announcement

@4srl+1p3B6uqi ...fingers crossed... farley's big mistake (in this area) was talking about uaw guys trying to get paid $300k/year. it's such an exaggeration, it's laughable. nobody believes that. sure, tell us the company's problems, but we don't need the whole "liar liar pants on fire" thing. japanese blue collar workers in japan make handsome wages and toyota is a success.

Toyota has been the benchmark for years and years and all Ford had to do is follow their business model. This isn’t rocket science.

Bill can you hear me? Bill?

@3txr+1p3B6uqi watch next BF will be showing up as face of Ford in the media and press conferences. When this happens JF days are numbered. This is the age old predictable Ford pattern.

@3ypz+1p3B6uqi - I'm hearing the same! One GSR made a mistake, got fired for that one mistake, and everyone up that GSR management chain is now being rated below average!!

I wish Amend was a good CIO. He is waiting for his $12M to be fully vested and then he will move on. He doesn't care about Ford or IT. He lives out of state and flies in, stays for few days in a hotel. He has no interest in long-term Ford employment.

Amend is a disaster. He told all the IT management that everyone su-ks, rate everyone as below average and all the management is scrambling, from what I've been told. Managers and worker bees, who have been good (rare, I realize) are being rated sh-t just because of one guy's issue. I hope he goes before the end of the year.

@3sgj+1p3B6uqi it is interesting that Kumar made some of the latest press statements. maybe mr farley has been riling up the unions with his statements of them getting paid $300k. dont poke the bear, dude. no way any line worker is going to be pulling in any where $300k even if the UAW gets all their demands. if medical costs are high then deal with that. no way simple out patient surgery actually costs $50k. it's pure gravy wealth transfer.

JF is great at managing up, but never dealt with unions or production like at Toyota. He's in way over his head here and it shows. UAW won't budge until he cuts his salary to the bone, or is shown the door I predict.

If you haven't even realized it, the entire Ford Motor Company is a "legacy" business. Which in today's world, is absolutely not a recipe for success or profits. This is precisely why Ford leadership with Model e at the top is going forward with the transformation plan to BEV and data/subscription/services business model.

Cio/Amend hates legacy applications. However, Legacies are the heartbeat of America....but he is too young to know that, I guess....

@2nnc+1p3B6uqi - I hope so. Amend is the worst CIO since Ford started having one back with guy from the Mickey Mouse company. I can’t believe how he was able to fool the Ford hiring team. He has done so much damage to Ford IT.

Re: 1cyx+1p3B6uqi

The current situation with the UAW has nothing to do with the horrible vision and direction of this company. When the choice was coming down to Hinrichs or Farley, my entire team...North America, Europe and Australia were all hoping for Joe and we ended up with Chris's incompetent cousin.

Joe would likely be in the same position right now with negotiations but the entire company would be in better shape than we are now.

Make sure Amend is included with the rest of the trash.

It’s amazing to me how one person can topple a company like ford. What’s even more amazing is that there is no an accountability for them what so ever. They get their millions independent of their job performance. That’s why they act as they do, all arrogant and think they walk on water. Only repercussion when they destroy a company is a dent to their ego.

@1ptn+1p3B6uqi - Don't be fooled. Fain has a golden parachute too. AOC or Sanders will hire him in a heartbeat. He has good future in Dem leftist politics.

Farley was chosen as CEO over Hinrichs, who is now doing well as CEO of CSX. I wonder how Ford would have done under Hinrichs?

Farley is classic narcissist. Pathetic. Heartbreaking so many talented folks were separated. Good luck finding someone to clean up the mess and trash. Farley, Field, Lawler will be terminated by year's end. If not, something really shady is happening. The numbers don't lie, Ford sales are not only flat but dismal, especially Lincoln. Anyone working on EV programs knows whats happening and its not good.
Farley will get his golden parachute and he couldnt be gone soon enogh. Well done Mr Fain, deep respect for you.

With John Q Public negative opinion of JF, Ford PR staff is testing how John Q Public responds to Kumar. Watching all this unfold shouldn’t be enjoyable, but somehow it is.

He should never bin a CEO to begin with. Goes to show you how couples BF really is, falls for slick Wi--y BS every time. Firs the potato chip man and then now this clown. But he fires the only person who had a chance of saving this place, Hinrich.

It won't matter, CEOs make out like bandits no matter what. If they do a great job, they're rewarded with large bonuses; if they do a poor job, they get lavish benefits due to severance agreements. Remember when Jac Nasser was fired? I'm sure he did well when Ford paid him off, and he later made tons of money from LBO of Polaroid.
