I'll gladly just take my lumpsum and fade into the sunset. But I want BF Jr's legacy to be that he destroyed the family business because he prioritized left wing politics over sound business practices. It is the only way it can end.

That's absolutely not the definition of woke. And if you choose to ignore the racist comments about non-whites is your business. At the end of the day, alot of you deserve to be let go because you're so bitter. Good people who worked hard everyday were let go and all that is left are those who point the blame at everyone but themselves. Again, the top is very deficient in the brown, so blame the correct people.
Very few of us on this forum are directly responsible for the decline of this company. There have been a series of bad decision from management that never seem to end.
I took my lump sum on Aug22 but would have gladly made a more transitioned exit given the choice. I would have worked part time or contract in the transition. There were plenty in my peer group that would have done that too.
The perfect storm of Hackett, Covid, and Farley and EV... I recall the day when Fields was all excited about the transformation of the engineering campus and the ability to attract young talented engineers. I can't even remember the flavor of the koolaid on that one. If at that point we would have been working on quality and product line up we would not be in the mess we are in today. Our playbook should have been copy Toyota.
How did we get so far away from making great quality vehicles for the general public.
There is another perfect storm coming when the final group of FCGS from the 1988-1992 hiring bubble retire. The core will be gone and all the years of experience too. All my friends who have 30 or are close too it are marking days on the calendar.

What does woke mean? The more I read this board the more I realize how the brown people are scapegoated for the decline in Ford. How can that be so when nearly everyone at the top is non-brown? Doesn't make sense to me. However, take your lump and leave. You should be happy you have a job, because the other side is not that nice. Bill Ford Jr was on AT&T's board when they made the disastrous decisions to buy DirecTV and Time Warner. Not sure why we kept in leadership position here after tjlhat debacle.

I took the lump sum, but I still hope that Ford thrives going forward. I have many friends who still work there. I also want to keep receiving stock dividends and deposits to my retiree Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for many years to come.
