I want to counter the below poster. I've seen men being abusive to women in the company. Particularly young, new grads who don't know any better. Usually, the female managers/senior engineers have seen all of the usual bullsh-t from the male colleagues (you know what they are) and just don't take sh-t anymore. Often, that leads to the perception that they're "abusive" and "snakes". In reality, most of these dudes are mediocre and can't coast on just being a guy in truck that watches football anymore. Now they have to actually do work and compete with diverse people more hungry and driven than they were/are.
@5dwp+1p5cJryL XOM former employee here. I never saw a woman mistreated by any men at XOM during my 20 years of employment. I'm sure there were some, but I never saw anything. However, I did see a lot of highly ranked women mistreating new female employees to the point of being almost verbally abused. So, don't worry so much about the male employees beyond the casual jerk, and there are some I'm sure, but be very very worried about highly ranked women. They are true snakes.

If you want to work for a corporation that strives to su-k out any joy of working for an operator, ExxonMobil is the place for you. Personally, I'm still trying to get on with CVX, the right slot just hasn't opened up yet (I know, same smell, different taste).

That su-ks! A lot of people that were layoff, NSI and PIP on 2020 work at Pioneer.
You forgot EATT, RSI, EMTEC, BTC, WFH, WAEM, CL, P&B, ECM, ASM.
PIP=Performance Improvement Plan=bottom 8% of all employees that are annually terminated after 3 months of the fake pip plan implemented to avoid lawsuits
PADP=Performance Assessment and Development Plan=going thru the motions when the clueless boss suggest you need to work on soft people skills to avoid NI or NSI
NI=Needs Improvement=20% of all employees in the bottom quintile
NSI=Needs Significant Improvement=20% of all employees in the second to bottom quintile
RSUs=Restricted Stock Units=only offered as annual incentive compensation to the smallest group of highly compensated individuals
EBUs=Earnings Bonus Units=only offered as annual incentive compensation to the smallest group of highly compensated individuals
Cash Bonus=only offered as annual incentive compensation to the smallest group of highly compensated individuals
DS=Permian VP placed on leave for arrest on s-xual as--ult charges last week after hooking up with 2 women in low budget motel north of spring campus
WELLS=the very arrogant and inefficient drilling organization that is no way cost competitive with Pioneer, but will falsely claim Pioneer does not include office overhead in their D&C well costs. And then WELLS management will also say Pioneer does not have robust OIMS framework that allows them to drill low cost wells.
OIMS=Operational Integrity Management System=a framework to hide behind the excuse of avoiding all risk versus effectively managing risk, leading to higher cost in all operations.
Just a few acronyms Pioneer staff will learn very quickly from, hope the forum adds more acronym definitions.
