No. It will be mid to late January. This avoids the "cruel mass layoff right before the holidays" blowback.

Last year, the layoffs started in early/mid Nov... with people out the door in late Jan/early Feb. However, since it was the first wave, it was unorganized, and inconsistent (leaked in early Sept, but notifications in Nov/Dec/Jan). I would think this third (or fourth) wave would be more organized.
The whole point of removing all incentives, was to get people to quit without having to pay severance. They ain't gonna start mass layoffs just yet....
I was one of the people who walked away because I could. There are lots of companies offering better compensation than Intel.
The people left waiting on packages are the very people Intel was trying to rid themselves of in the first place. Most of their top talent has already walked out the door and joined the opposition.
