Lol. Personally I like how he chose to use words the UAW members would have to look up.
What exactly is the point of the UAW creating "operational chaos" and "reputational damage"? Wouldnt that hurt their profit sharing checks?

Oh, and the BIg 3 won't lock out the workers because that would be begging for a NLBR lawsuit.
The other strategic problem with a complete walkout is that it would drain the UAW's strike fund even faster.
Last poster is wrong. He had 90%+ membership backing on this strike. Those that don't want to strike are a very small minority. The strike approval vote was 96% for!
Now there are a growing percentage that are unhappy with the strategic strike. They'd rather see a complete walkout. What they don't realize is that by doing it this way, the Big 3 have to lay people off. That means those folks get unemployment and aren't a burden on the strike fund. The brilliance there is that the union can hold out for months!!
If the Big 3 had a brain, rather than allowing the union to pick and choose where they strike, and laying off other affected plants, they would just lock out all of the union workers! Put pressure on the union and the strike fund.
Of course, that would require all three leadership teams to work together! 😂 ain't happening
Fain is NOT popular with the Rank and File as a whole. He won his job by only 500 votes and a huge portion of the membership do not want a strike.
Don't fall for the Bill F kumbaya act folks. Same guy hired Hackett and placed Farley into CEO roles knowing full well they were going chop US headcount. Now that the union is squeezing him, he wants to end the acrimony. What about all the white collar folks who were shown the door for no other fault than being pension "burdens", where was the sense of honor and accountability? Made up some BS about roles no longer required, moved jobs or hired less qualified people.
@2cdf+1p7Fc2Pc Fain is representing what the people that elected him want.
Do you think Bill would win if Executive Chairman was an elected position? Not a snowball's chance in he-l!!
Bill Ford is a joke, but Fain is a absolute f'n fool and clown. The UAW members who expect companies to completely restructure their operations for them are insane.
You clown.
Those big words are from the professional agitators that joined UAW leadership inner circle after Fain's election.
WTF
Are you serious.
Those are your leaderships plan!
Get with it.
You are being hosed.
If you want fair compensation, go apply for a job elsewhere with your skills and experience. No one is forcing you to work on the line.
I agree that UAW leadership knows their ship is sinking and just taking everyone down with them. Too bad their members don’t realize this. In 4-5 years they will all be unemployed.
Imagine having some trust fund baby who's never done a hard's day work in their life lecture you about what is fair compensation...
The UAW is giving one last "fu-k you" to Ford before they move all their jobs to Mexico. Reaching a deal was never their goal, they are on a sinking ship and trying to pull Ford down with them
