Take advantage of it while you still can.

there are plenty of jobs in So Cal/Los Angeles with all the other Aero competitor companies. I see some req's getting pull back as we head into the 4th Quarter but next year - 1Q and 2Q have some upside with new contracts being awarded. for us, I know we can't hire fast enough due to attrition and retirements.

you only have yourself to blame if you're unwilling to leave this train wreck of a company.

The job market is great. But only if you are willing to relocate.

Today many leave jobs after a short stint. They leave because the tech and software sweatshops are dysfunctional and unendurable. The resulting listings create a false impression that the job market is improving, when many of the listings are simply because of high turnover.

Either way, if you get a chance.....ESCAPE!!!!!
I agree with the sentiment that starting now offers more chance than next year, anyone with any acumen knows the next few years are going to be hairy! You will fair better on another ship!

My LinkedIn is blowing up and has been for years. It does seem to be slowing down a bit though. Not that I'm looking to start a new position. I'm just enjoying the show here. Then I go away to no where.

Yep, it is a mixed bag alright. Some areas are doing ok (digital) others just terrible and getting worse. Lot of BS out there about a recovering economy, tough times are coming.

Same for me, in my field of engineering it is the worst I have seen for a very long time. However my wife who is in digital design is inundated with job opportunities, I think that tells a big story.

Job hunting right now, it is the worst I have ever seen in my industry in 3 decades.

Job market is actually downright atrocious. Fewer postings. Lower or flat pay. Increasingly forced to RTO (because, well, because employers know the market favors them once again and they can resort to the old ways of work). More freezes. More RIFs.

Remember this next month and a year later when you go to polls.

"healthy" is being awfully generous.
