The salary program gets communicated to managers on 11/28. So expect to see salary treatment communications start the week of 12/4 or 12/11

@1lna+1pAOp2O7 So a massive vacuum pay cut in the US. Massive productivity decline in the US! Massive increase in low quality work products in the US! Across the board decline in every measurable positive contribution in the US imposed on US American citizens! All to achieve greed driven, low cost employees business model!

EMPS almost 5 is correct. That downvoted “4.8” number is basically correct.

@2mml We’ve been waiting on that recession for about three years now.

It’s become clear that bosses want a recession, but that’s a topic for another thread.

Lower inflation means lower pay raises (less than 3.5 %)...plus with global recession starting, EM likely to go to the low end of inflation given other industries are already slowing hiring and cutting back....especially in IT, auto, retail.

Will continue to move jobs to low cost locations so hiring will be slow and allow retirement and resignation and PIP to lower workforce in high cost locations like North America/Germany/UK. Field and refinery sales will reduce workforce further. On track to go below 60k employees in a couple years

Will we ever get rid of the pay disparity between upstream and downstream?

@1lna The $200k/year you get to complain about where you work isn’t enough for you to live decently in Houston? If that’s the case consider downsizing.

Oh yeah, I forgot you have “institutional knowledge” which entails copy/pasting generic industry specifications and emailing them to third-party contractors. Three BTC engineers can do that for less than half of what you probably cost. Do you think your boss hasn’t figured that out?

Enjoy your holiday season (go easy on the carbs).

BTC salary schedules will be implemented in the US to make you more competitive with the highly skilled folks in Bangalore.

Will be similar to Jan 2022. 3.9% total budget broken into 3 groups (5% Upstream, 3.5% PS/Downstream, which includes some service lines like EMIT, and 2.5% for staff/overhead groups). It’s a reasonable plan, and brings things back to planet earth versus the 8% overall budget last year, which isn’t sustainable. Promos are being slowed as well (again, more sustainable numbers - you can’t continue giving promos at. 40% rates).

BR Site managers consistently claim that our programs run a year behind, so we're going to get massive raises based on last year's record breaking profits, right guys???

Looks fine for upstream(a curve). Not good for downstream and service line B and C curve
