I need some down time to interview for other jobs so am wondering what techniques/ tips I could use to give me some down time

Be super productive.
If you want to appear productive do your work and do it well. Schedule 1:1s with your boss to keep them informed of your accomplishments and any challenges you’re facing.
Just go on the news and tell the public that EV’s are our future and move salary jobs to Mexico. Super productive (but in effective).
Just do your thing.
You're a freeloader even in your spare time.
Do some work, that always works for the folks I see looking busy.
In other words, just like mom and pop would say: Get Off You A-s !
I feel sorry for your family, hope you get out of that trailer park.;
You need time...take a vacation day, sick day, personal day.
