Everyone wants cable or fiber. For some the plug and play product with no appointment, no installation, no contracts, and a fixed monthly rate with no junk fees is appealing. But Stankey knows better as Fixed Wireless is an inferior product. Well so is a Camry versus many luxury cars but the Camry does just fine. Stankey the buffoon chasing Hollywood and now far behind in the mid band spectrum holdings.

wouldn't buy anything from att. their billing sux
Pots was an embedded passive cash cow too, until Stephenson announced it was old technology that needed to go away, he aggressively ran customers off by raising rates or forcing them to VoIP. A lot of people decided to cancel service, but up till then customers payed their phone bill without a thought, even though they had a cell phone. It had high ROI because everything was paid for years ago, only had some maintenance expenses. Who cares if it was older tech, it made billions in profit every year and was reliable, even during power outages.

I got news for all of you. AT&T is getting involved and fixed wireless.
ATT 5G network is terribad
ask autozone how good fixed wireless was
Fixed wireless, generally, is a perfectly good product. Fixed wireless at AT&T can be inferior in many cases due to wireless network capacity. For us, it has to be a very careful dance of allowing it only in places where there is capacity otherwise it will be perceived as inferior probably worse than copper uverse.
Verizon and T-Mobile have gained 8 Million Fixed Wireless Customers in the past 3 years. Stankey missed the boat and is playing catch-up.
