Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

C Anthony Meet and Greet

Did anyone attend the Corey Anthony meet and greet yesterday? I heard from a birdy that if you want to remain with the company and grow, you need to move to Dallas or Atlanta, and if you have a remote position, your job can be replaced by someone in another country for 1/3rd of what it cost them to hire in the US.

What does Corey actually do that translates into revenue?

I honestly believe the few layoffs in Dallas and Atlanta are certified "ringers". I still like my chances of retaining my position by agreeing to and then relocating to Dallas. Working at at&t has or is becoming survival of the fittest. Natural selection has finally got a foothold at not only at&t, but at most major corporations.

The big question should be "will Corey Anthony have a chair when the music stops". He's been lucky to hang on this long, I have a feeling his time is about to run out. Keep that chair close by Corey, you never know when Stankey will stop the music!

Are execs relocating and coming in to work 3-5 days a week to show leadership? Or is it for thee and not me?

No, the executives feel they are at the right place. How dare you question!

A trained baboon could manage more “effectively” than the C suite buffoons. I’m sure one could obtain such a critter for far less than $20m.

No need for the expense to acquire a trained primate. A small monkey will do.
One could draw on a whiteboard, two options, (1) invest in what we know. (2) invest in what we do not know and have no business in.
Now apply banana oil and under option (1). Apply some lion ur--e under option (2).
Guess what the monkey would select?
Our monkey ( Stankey) chose number 2. Now the lions are coming.

Being in Dallas or Atlanta is not a guarantee. It helps, but no promises.

I heard they can hire executives for a 1/5th of the price overseas too. When will they start since they are hiring other non American replacements? Guess who’s service I won’t purchase ever again, when I’m tapped.

Anything for the Fund masters profits, employees are just an expense. Lords and serfs.

I been stuck up here in St Loohey in what seems like forever. I wanted to go to Chicagie, but realize I'll need to go to Dallas to have any chance of surviving. I just hate what this company has become.
