I can tell you that CISO is supportive of those who were hired as full-time remote continuing to work remote. I was on a call with him and somebody asked about that. Perhaps that put him at odds with upper management's RTO and co-location strategy.

Yes, Tech is very much affected.

Given where the CISO is from , he did not enjoy having a female boss

This is the same guy who got rid of people due to RTO. And assumed it doesn’t apply to him. The same old colonial sh-t.
It is unsafe for a CISO who resigned to be around for 3 months. Unheard of. In fact a huge security risk.
And he lies about family issues as a cause.

He hasnt even been here for 2 years.

Here’s how I see it.

Charlie “We need new blood ariund here. We are undergoing a major transformation, streamlining the business, tieing together the bank’s vast tech footprint and we need a CISO with fresh ideas who is excited about getting it done!”

CISO starts Feb 2022 and two weeks later, “Lol, there’s no money in the budget for that. In fact, you have to cut 20% of your team.” “No, that’s not how we do things around here.” “We can’t even think about that until first quarter 2026.” “We know you’re ‘the CISO’, but your first priority is monitoring how many of your employees are in the office 3 days/week” Then “We have to talk about your incompetence. Unfortunately, you will be rated a ‘Inconsistently meets” on your performance reviews, and will not be eligible for your 2% increase.”

Said FRTO on the way out the door. Now there's a leader I respect.

Definitely will be an even more extreme DEI replacement. Sunil was tired of the wf DEI machine, RTO, general red tape and toxicity. Off to greener pastures he goes.

He is likely not meshing with that flake TK... Pretty sure she will bring some DE&I candidate.

Bring back Rich Baich, Steve Adegbite, and prior, Steve Brown and Mary Ellen Presnell. We got this WF cyber team! Go team!

CISO wants to work from home 4 days in the office is too much. This is why he is leaving.

It has been a couple years so it was definitely time for the CISO shuffle. Rich Baich, Gary Owen, Kurt Lieber, and now Sunil Seshadri.

The CISO from Clorox just resigned, maybe Wells can woo her.

What a disaster of a company.

CISO = Chief Information Security Officer
He is resigning. Will stay in place until mid-February until his replacement is onboard.

Sunil Seshadri (Chief Information Security Officer) is leaving Wells Fargo early next year. News about WF systems undergoing an attack via social engineering will probably come out over the next few months.

Email just came in from WF Tech - The CISO put his resignation notice and will be leaving mid February due to personal/family matters. So this time around Tech really is affected.
