Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Say what you want, but the fact that GM and Stellantis offered voluntary packages speaks volumes about their leadership.

If you didn't notice, Ford has been addressing these gripes you have with Ford+.

We have much new talent at the top of leadership who bring with them the best ideas and management strategies from a diverse spectrum of high tech companies.

As for processes, have you missed the rollout of FordOS? If so, there is a link at the atFord homepage which will take you to information you need to know. Please read up. Most have.

The fumes in Grandma's basement be getting thick. This company is riddled with bad management, poor processes and churn from top to bottom and we have no clue how to fix.

Smart Redesign was a great strategy on paper, but not launched or executed well. Times have changed and we now have a well thought out and vetted plan, the Ford+ Transformation. If you've read the details of the plan it just makes sense for the company in the modern mobility era.

Plus we have much more capable leadership from high tech companies to see it through. Which we did not have in 2019.

Ford has had sooo many plans that are going to fix their issues that I’ve lost count. Remember SRD “smart” redesign. If it was that smart how come you’ve needed another bunch of layoffs every year since then. Can’t have been that smart!

@1kgy+1pHfx5JN - What a gas lighting post if I ever saw one. What are they gonna say in there where a permanent record exists tied to an ID? Please...echo chamber of circle jerks and reach arounds going on there...sometimes people do have some gusto and I'm shocked what people think they can get away with saying.

I doubt anyone who actually works at Ford believes GM or Stellantis has leadership better than Ford. You won't get that message here in this forum (save for a few), but if you read the live chats in the Global Town Halls you would see how positive all employees are with Ford leadership ranks and the Ford+ Transformation Plan.

The ‘21 offer was limited in scope. Since then, SIRP only at Ford. GM offered every salaried person the one-year salary package earlier this year. My understanding is that the recent Stellantis offer was to anyone with over 5 years seniority. Seems like a big difference in what our leadership group thinks of our contributions.

@1kzs - the voluntary program in 2021 must have not been company wide because I never received any info.

No package will be given. If you are qualified, then you will be out the door.

Yes they care about their people and respect them. Unlike this company.
