Yesterday got wind about something big happening Monday. Got a foreboding warning from an upper manager I know from outside Ford. He wouldn't say what exactly.
Anyone know?

Nothing happened today. As was mentioned in this forum, until you hear it directly from leadership (in a forum or Town Hall). it just a rumor and falsehood.

I think whats happening at the higher levels.....they finally realized we cut / marginalized engineering way too deep. Not enough capable engineers to deliver to plan, not to mention improve quality. Lets take another round of training classes. That will fix quality. We've promoted based on DEI metrics, and the entire LL6/LL5 levels are basically useless. We are in serious trouble.

Maybe they fired too many engineers instead of slowing them to apply to positions outside of the organizations that fired them. And then, won’t even let them apply for a new opening they qualify for.
Well here we are everyone - 7:45am Monday 11/27/2023 and crickets....... Have yet to hear any movements anywhere in the company. Perhaps yet another false alarm?Reminds me of a member of congress who recently pulled a false fire alarm in the capital.

Yes I heard the same about Monday. Going to be terrible. I also heard if it's not Monday it will be the following Monday. And if it's not then, then the following after that. Oh wait, this was for August, September, October too. You guys are ki-ling me. If it happens it happens. Deal and move on.

Governments all over the world have printed up way too much money. This extra cash has diluted the value of peoples’ income and investments. Then they raised interest rates with the intent of “slowing down inflation” by putting people out of work so they can’t afford things.
There’s a giant economic chicken out there and it’s coming home.
What fool thinks that employees are told anything of value during a town hall meeting. That’s just BS to keep the ignorant masses thinking Ford is “a family” company that cares so deeply about you!
Until they pull the rug from under you, rob you of your pension rights and move your job to India.
Your source knows nothing. Especially since he's outside of Ford. Neither does Mr. Ned "Flanders" Townhall on here either. Those posts articulate an image of someone who waits with baited breath on every slice of management speak and guidance, then treats is with such reverence when they get it.
Stop it with these posts. Just wait until the next Global Town Hall and we will get the information directly from leadership as we should and we were promised.
In the meantime, enjoy the holiday weekend and lets get back to continuing the Ford+ Plan objectives on Monday.

That’s all they do is send the white collar jobs to all of these other countries as long as it is not phone work. There is hardly any jobs left in Wholesale, Vehicle Liquidations, etc. and the jobs that are left are basically phone work like customer service. I have seen some good employees train India and China on certain jobs and then they got the boot. It happened in the Wholesale and Vehicle Liquidations Depts and it is going to happen again. It happened to all service center employees.

I was looking at the job postings recently.....a lot of jobs in Mexico, India, China, and South America. Jobs that used to be in Dearborn.

Ford fell for the EV trap and thus their stupid leadership have effectively dug the companies own grave. Vehicle quality, reliability and reputation is now absolute garbage. Therefore, they are now screwed on three fronts, ICE, Hybrid, and EV.. Good job. Make sure you thank your re--rded CEO and board for this
