Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Tesla leads in BEV. Toyota leads in hybrid and ICE. Big three have ICE trucks and hybrid trucks (with warranty issues/recalls).

Its that all familiar bot. Seriously...the language on these types of posts all over this board is so beige / bland it sounds like software. Cr-ppy software at that. At least program some custom instructions into your LLM before responding...give the correspondence a little flair or hint of being human. If it is human, well then...I can only imagine how delightful you must be at parties....

Too bad the id--ts layed-off / fired / early out packaged all the 'experienced" internal combustion folks, so we lost that capability.
None of those folks are coming back and the company is in trouble for this at their own fault. Who are we gonna get to develop new powertrains as we now sunk all the new D&R's as BEV's, software and features, like $19 per month heated seats for our customers who are buying $55k+ BEV vehicles, you know "The Future of the Company".
The old generation knows mechanical systems and we're lacking new talent who has this background.

luckily our ice engines are pretty good and can be made better by a few tweaks and refining some of the stuff that got TVM'd out. they can be sold for years. like the old modular V8. decades?

think about it: even if your v6 grenades because of that internal water pump, its way cheaper to put in a re-man engine vs. a new EV battery!

Ford would make a big mistake for sustainability if we dropped the Ford+ Plan which transforms to a leading BEV mobility company. Anything ICE related is legacy with a low outlook for growth.

The BEV religion is dead bro. Quit trying to make converts. It won't work, do the math.

The EV industry is weeding out majority of the contenders. Only a handful of companies will survive. Tesla will gain the market share as planned.

In other words, now all the other OEMs are having to eat crow & admit that Toyota had it right all along.
