SHAMEFUL-Chuck and the ELT at Four Seasons in Hawaii This Week

Field Sales Party with select employees AND spouses flying first class to Hawaii
Sales down 20 percent, but don't worry, as the recent Layoffs will cover the $200M+ cost for this week's boondoggle

I don’t mind them rewarding the sales people. It’s the upper-management class that gets to tag along that I dislike. My SVP chain (there’s more than 1) seem to be always at boondoggles like this.

Sitting at the Four se²asons which is now Cisco, watching how many are staying at this $800/night resort. People from all over are here. Living it up.

I am against huge corporations buying hotels.

I don't want to be that guy but I'll be that guy.

OP probably had a bad year and some dingbat on their team fell a$$ backwards into some $20M deal and made Club Cisco so now they're jealous and are taking out their frustration on an anonymous internet message board by trashing Club Cisco and the ELT team.

Jealousy is 999/1,000 times the reason why people write posts like this.

And for the record, Club Cisco costs absolutely nowhere near $200M. Impact is not even that much.

I'm the only one who downvoted that post.

I believe accomplishments should be celebrated. Do you expect top people to stay at a company for an occasional $50 Connected Recognition?

You may not like the people who went there. You want them to leave and hire top people who work for $50 Connected Recognitions?

200M+ is definitely too much. Do you have a source?

As if AMs have anything to do with reaching their numbers. They don’t even bring donuts any more. What would ya say it is ya do here?

Unfortunately it's very often not the top sales people who get to attend either. The selection process is rife with favouritism.

For the id--t monkeys, this is the previous version of this thread from last year:

https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1jW7aRA4

The $200M number didn't hold up to reason then and I'm betting it doesn't hold up now.

Everybody dislikes Club Cisco until they make Club Cisco. Then they love it!

Yea, it’s called presidents club. Top sales are given a free trip, happens annually. I was LRd but am still a share holder and I support the annual PC trip, with spouses flying first class. Keep those top sales people onboard and working hard.

Companies need to award sales folks for a good year. Otherwise, they'll walk and sell for somebody else.
