I worked in the IT department for about 7 years. It was a horrible thankless job though I enjoyed the work for a while. Do not discuss salary there. They will fire you so fast your head will swim. The management seems to have tunnel vision. Raises are few are far between. To get a raise, it is better to leave L-3 for a while and come back. If you stay there for a long time your career will stagnate. There is a lot of favoritism and politics there. My mental health suffered during the 9 years I was with the company. 20 years later I still have nightmares about working there again.

Be glad you are gone. They are entering final phase of IT service converting to SNOW. Adding more overhead that does not know what local does to micro manage just in time for Christmas. Service to users will suffer. Starting the leasing computers back again in January.
I hope it's better than the last few years while they ramped up for this takeover.
when I fled the company earlier this year the I T department had been outsourced making a big problem even bigger. you're lucky to be out of there.
