Mass Markets Merry-Go-Round

Any thoughts on today's re-orgapalooza with Kenny, Robertson and Wellday?

I'll be glad to be rid of J Robertson's limited and not very radical candor, but jeez it seems like all these people do all day is sit around a big magnetic org chart, move around the pieces and then come up with a bunch of gobbledygook to justify all the moves.

This comes six months after the last mass markets reorg that was supposed to be the answer to our prayers and likely six months before the next one.

Funny thing is that it's always the same VPs rotating around, no new blood or anything like that.

Would be nice if they just settled on something and let it actually play out before blowing it up all over again but I guess that would be too boring.

And yes they can do that.

I am in one of these organizations and have not heard a damn thing. Why do they send me so many meaningless emails about what holiday it is (I have a calendar) and nothing about this?

I don’t bother to commit anyone other than my first level supervisor to memory anymore. It’s a revolving door above that by design.

Mass Markets just grew exponentially and with that comes massively increased power. Good luck.

There's enough jerks in mass markets sitting around on their a-s thinking nobody else can do without them protecting themselves for their pensions. su-k it up buttercup, you're about to get what you deserve.

T makes change appear as progress, only to distract WallStreet and employees. The reality is that the musical chairs only prolongs the inevitable demise of the company. Nothing ever, ever good has come for these changes for the last 7-8 years. What has happened is 100k layoffs, stock price cut by 65% , and zero innovation in an industry where we were number 1 by a wide margin. The writing is on the wall for those smart enough to read it.

“Because we aren’t hitting the mark from a revenue stand point (the company as a whole), is the reason why they are trying to shake it up to show they are trying a different strategy to try and increase overall revenue.

Clearly, what has been tried up to this point isn’t working to increase revenue. Reason why we are having and will continue to have record number layoffs!”

There’s some logic to the decision but kind of like the Carolina Panthers having 6 head coaches in the last couple of years constant pivots just spin you right into the ground. Hopefully they can at least finally focus more on getting the job done rather than moving the deck chairs around but I kind of doubt it.

I wish these execs had any self-awareness because it took them years to realize it would be more efficient to put all marketing functions in one org.

“Accelerating growth” just means that the people under Jen, JVB, and Rick are doubling down on sales pressure so marketing can be off on its own.

Like a previous poster said, no one cares.

No advancement opportunities in a company that is needing the cut HC to balance budget sheets every quarter. When the music stops, there will not be enough chairs for current leadership team. Over the next 36 months, 50% will get cut or forced it with retirement.

Well, they have to do something to justify their roles. Used to be we had some annual changes, thus allowing some career advancements for some. Haven’t seen anyone get promoted from the ranks in a very long time.
