Surprised if website posts as they frown on recall posts (can’t we just make better quality vehicles). Recognize that these are legacy vehicles but still hurts our reputation ( mostly for owners).
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain units of the Ford Fiesta, Ford Fusion and Lincoln MKZ over an issue with the vehicles’ door latches.
The defect: in affected vehicles, a component within the vehicle’s door latch may fail, which can make it difficult to close the doors, or possibly allow the doors to open while driving.
The hazards: if the vehicle’s door is not shut properly or opens while driving, it could increase the likelihood of a crash or injury.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accidents or injury related to this concern.
