Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

I support 4 days in the office per week, but you pick your day of the week to be remote.

What say you?

“ The only 'id--ts' here are the ones that think we get a billion $ worth of value out of collaboration in our admin buildings. We don't.”

Of course we don’t in collaboration value, but I’d bet we do get a billion worth in tax cuts by proving to cities that we have people driving to work in their cities versus working at home.

They would have to be 10 hour days.
Remember - the US President of 2012 created the policy that made anyone working less than 36 hours could legally be considered part-time.
Your benefits would dramatically be reduced, saving the company a lot of money at your peril.
Be careful what you wish for - you might get it.

Why four days?

Why three days?

There is no data to suggest any number of days in office are helpful.

The OP is misguided.

Corporate America took out decade long leases on buildings and local governments plan on tax revenue from downtown businesses, so they want their building filled.

That is not a good reason for me to go into an office.

Sometimes businesses and governments have to take a monetary hit. Profits are not guaranteed.

Oh, wait, I guess in 2008-10 we did kind of give our tax money to the parasites, I mean, execs, running these poorly managed companies.

Sorry not sorry, not going to be adding more time to my work life, for free, and adding to smog and traffic.

2 days a week max to show your face. 3 days to get real work done.

The only 'id--ts' here are the ones that think we get a billion $ worth of value out of collaboration in our admin buildings. We don't. People show up miserable, put on their headsets, trudge through their day, and go home as soon as they can. I've been wasting time in offices for almost 2 years with this RTO BS and have yet to see anything of value done there that couldn't have been done remote. Heads are down and no one cares. Mainly because they are tired for being S on and treated like children by corrupt liars in the ivory tower in NY. The constant threat of layoffs for years at a time , the nanny BS, the demands to pinch pennies while the execs waste billions, the RTO/location strategies which are obviously just attrition tools, blaming the blameless for past scandals, we-ponizing ratings and increases, the list just goes on and on. Shart and his JP rejects need to be canned by the board before it's too late.

Do you not pick your days today?

FRTO, and FHY. It's a waste of time/money to go in 1 day a week, and it's a bigger waste of time and money to go in any more than that. The only purpose the admin offices serve is for executives to torment us with the useless ritual so we eventually leave for greener pastures. I guarantee you that if all employees loved going to the office, they would shut them all down, pocket the savings, and use WFH to torment people into leaving voluntarily. They really don't give an S either way about buildings outside NYC, they just want you to quit.

That’s how the 3/2 is now. You pick your data in office. Logic says that will be how it is when we go to 4.

3 days. 4 days. 5 days. How about 6 days? Maybe 7? Are occupancy levels in the corporate gulag really tanking that badly? Stop it Charlie. Your head is so far up your backside about RTO that you need to go to a proctologist for a dental exam. 💩
