Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Is Verizon recommended to join in 2024?

The year 2024 is seeing surpluses in every other Telecom industry. There seem to be some openings in Verizon. Do they allow remote work and is it a good company to join considering the turmoil? What do the existing employees think?

This person comes to a layoff site asking for employment advice??? This is like an alcoholic going to AA asking if he should quit drinking.

Everyone can disregard this thread. It's not real. It's just more meaningless fluff to distract from posts about the votercrook.

If remote work is a priority, I would not recommend Verizon. Some get "permanent" wfh (for now) while they pressure the majority of us to go to the office. I'm talking people who have the same job titles. One gets to stay home (for excuses not recognized by HR) while others are expected to come in. The practice is very unfair.

What I think, this that is a “layoff” site. If you are looking for a job go to the employment office. How absurd to go to a site where people are in fear of losing their jobs to inquire about a job.
