AT&T is owned by both for a total of almost 16%. These are the companies that are currently destroying VMware under Broadcom - "Maximizing profits via headcount reduction." Sound familiar?
Until the public wakes up and starts pushing for regulations, it's going to continue to be awful. Alternatively, we could stop fighting amongst ourselves and unionize. There's no shame in joining a union for the sake of better pay and better benefits.
Corporate employees not being able to unionize is a myth propagated by HR. The NLRB definition of a supervisor is vastly different from AT&T's definition of a "supervisor". Do not be fooled.
