Thread regarding Fidelity Investments layoffs

Magic Numbers

Let’s be honest, none of us would be here if we just received base salary. Big part of our compensation package is bonus, so when we keep hearing Fidelity is have one great year after another, but the bonus pool is never fully funded, it would be nice to know why.

If you want to make money at FIDO you have to be in sales. A good VPFC will make 500k plus shares, a bad FC will make 250k. If you’re happy with 150k join one of the thousands of SCRUM teams who provide little to no value but offer a great work-life balance.

Fidelity isn’t paying much above a Walmart salary for many employees. In the current times a lot more money is needed to live. It’s been proven time and time again with various studies.

Folks, is this boredom in the corporate world?
Like I know you were a bonby sometime ago and then you got this job on corporate security. Then well you and your bald beard fellow friend need to show that you are working. But folks, how much money does Fidelity expend fighting against its own shadow? I'm not the danger here and you know. You went too far and don't know what to do? I give you a chance to back off go play Call of Duty with your friends and eat a Dominos.
You are throwing a lot of money on the sink playing bridge of spies. Just leave me quiet. You are forgiven. You are been manipulated by people to waste more money on this crazy hunt against your tail.
Please write me letters in other languages. I just understood about someone's orifices but it can be a broad subject.
It's have been months of this madness. I'm clean, I just want to follow with my life. And please say to this guy that every time he touches the heater burner the guy comes to repair and the house gets more cosy.
Keeping the restaurant app business is much more effective than this old-style coldwar.

I find it hard to believe people can't live of their Fidelity salary. What are the other forces at play here? Is your lifestyle above your means? Are you saddled with debt? Fidelity is not paying Walmart wages where employees there need government assistance.

As a former software developer at Fidelity, the salaries at Fidelity are meager compared to the rest of the industry. Not sure why people hope the end of the year is their savior.

Compensation can be pretty bad for some, including bonus. Fidelity wants to be an industry leader in so many ways. A lot of it is framing and presentation, almost brainwashing people to believe everything is to much better than every other company. Fidelity, please step up pay. They only barely meet the bare minimum of other companies (they claim) after outside companies do studies? How come entry-level phones jobs get better and more frequent bonuses than many other jobs nowadays? What a joke. We’re all doing real, hard work. Why can’t we live on the salary here? Thankful for a job but the pay is a joke. I have colleagues who are close to being foreclosed on, who can’t afford heat, hot water, or basic house repairs, and I’m barely ahead of that.

The bonus pool is funded at X% is meaningless until you see the actual $$$ amount you are getting. And then the only question is, are my peers at other firms getting more or less?

Right now my peers at other firms are getting laid off. This makes me think the bonus will be not so good. It su-ks but it's better than nothing

94% is not bad and then we will
Also get the 15% profit sharing. I’ve got no complaints about pay at Fidelity.
