Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Is it normally this slow in December?

I work in sales, but im honestly concerned about how slow it is in December, I get that it’s the holidays, but holy cow - if they expect us to hit quota, they better be giving us better promos. I’m not here to get critiqued either by people, I’m just stating how it’s been these past 5 days - extremely slow.

Should help free cash flow in 1Q2024 because unlike last year Stankey won’t have to spend big money on the devices he gave away during the holiday. You may recall that was his reason for only having $1B FCF. But somehow after doing business for a zillion years that was never an issue in the past.

Yeah it’s very slow. Enjoy the time with your family, no one will remember your “hard work”. It’s December, let the directors stress.

Slow - yea. But not dead. Not sure where you are, but we still have healthy traffic. Did pretty well this year overall.

December is always slow. But it seems slower than usual this year. Inflation has everyone broke. Don’t spend all of your 1% raise in one place.

And VZ is giving away an iPhone, IPad and watch. T is going to compete with that offer?
Expect VZ to have a good 4th qtr and T to be okay but not ki-ling it.

Yes, and wait til the last 2 weeks of December. You think it is slow now…
You must not have been around for very long

You should have already met your quota for the year by now. With due respect, your job is to sell, and sometimes that means going to get the business that isn’t walking in the door and jumping in your pocket.

Yes. Run out on the streets like a shady AF INX and get those sales!!!

I can not wait until the whole mobile sales structure collapses. Retail stores?? No more lease payments. Savings, not seen such in 20 years.
From RSC up to Director. So, so much money will be saved when our customers can buy a device online and have it delivered the next day. SIM card ready to go, backup from the cloud rolls seamlessly.

There will be a lot of mortgages that go into default after AT&T cleanses itself of the enormous amount of dead weight in Mobility.

My AT&T shares will certainly benefit from this though. That's what it is all about, right?

Yep, inflation hitting hard and pay hasn’t kept up. Idk about you folks, but I’m falling further and further behind, working way more hours and harder than ever, but no more money to go with it.

And why do we care how you order? The op is asking if other people are having the same results which could lead to him being LAID OFF.
