Thread regarding Citigroup Inc. / Citibank / Citi layoffs

There are better options available for you

I spent three years at Citi under a manager who lacked essential management skills and dealing with toxic team dynamics. This took a toll on my physical, mental, and emotional well-being, and it negatively affected my relationships. I left last summer and have since moved on to a much more fulfilling role with a healthier team culture. I am earning more and continuously learning. For anyone having to deal with a paranoid and fear-based work environment, I encourage you to consider there are better opportunities available. It took me a while to transition into a new industry, but the change was well worth it.

They are toxic, they get rid of talent, and keep their jobs. They will be turning off the lights when the building is sold.

@OP+1pVVBgkf - I had similar experience.
Multiple team members lodged serious HR complaints and HR came up with zero action and on top of it, they said the behavior of the manager is not toxic. This is not about Audit, it’s about how the manager treats people.

I agree, I joined Citi's middle office in 2022. I have never seen such a combination of fear culture and incompetence. People around me are constantly trying to justify their existence, as if they expect to be punished or kicked out any minute. They fear internal audit the most, obviously because they understand that they are incompetent. Such a s**t show.
