I've been talking to several friends that have left intel on their own or have been laid off.
They have all found better paying jobs with less BS. Their companies are growing and improving benefits.
I know it's hard to leave a place after many years, but all companies eventually fail, Bezos said he even expects Amazon to fail someday.
So, take control of your future and find a new job before you are too old for anyone to hire you.

Most of you r full of it. Intel is a great place to work. You know it. You are probably having the grass is not greener on the other side moments.
Leaving is the best thing for anyone that is talented
I’m so disappointed and looking for opportunities
I quit to focus on getting a graduate degree that my Intel manager said would be too distracting from my work duties by doing it even part time and wouldn't approve it. Now I'm in school full time, but work part time at a coffee shop just because and make substantially more per hour than I did as a tech. Obviously not the same with regards to benefits, however I think that all the free coffee I've been drinking is probably worth more than the RSUs I gave up. Pretty sad honestly.
Sure, but fu-k faang.
I was laid off in June. Now making 25% more in total comp at FAANG, and that's before stock appreciation.
I was laid off in June. I took the money and ran. I have a much better position now. Why? Much more freedom to do what I want for my career, My co-workers and management KNOW ME -- I am not an HR number. They respect my off-work time.
