RTO 5 days a week 2024 announced on town hall

A rumor is running through my department that it was announced on a town hall that 5 days a week will be mandatory in 2024. I missed the Corey Anthony call on Friday, Dec 1.

Is this just office cr-p?

Blah blah blah. What do they want this year? Whatever. Just go along with it. It’ll change again.

Will be nice to work less hours for a change, 8hr days on my RTO. My other hours are occupied en route to and from work. Collaboration and purpose over production, not my call.

Keyboard tough guy…love it. Probably the same d”’ch bg that sends his boss an Omaha Steaks holiday box with free burgers. Back to your mom’s basement….

Depends on org obviously but haven’t heard that at all in my org.

They’d have to increase office size in ATL at least to accommodate 5 days for everyone here. I don’t think they’re interested in doing that right now. In the future maybe but they gotta cut more people first.

I'm former T from a couple yrs back, however, I can relay that these days HR corporates all "talk" and share their woke agendas and directives. The long term 2024 goal is 5 days in office, watch it start at big Tech and move across t

Need dedicated desk space if everyone coming in 5x a week. End stop. Drop in is total b.s. but so is RTO

The problem with Townes is he is way out of touch with what his employees do. So many folks are not shift workers whose customer support functions reside within an 8-5 central time zone window. There are teams supporting sporadic customer-facing demands 24/7 nationwide, if not worldwide. You can’t just tell them you can only support them during Townes hours after they have paid for our services. He either needs to hire quadruple the heads and workspace to handle multiple shifts coming in the office 24/7, or lay off the abusive step dad routine and get a clue.

Make sure to ask your leadership about Chad Townes statement in your next town hall.

As per Chad Townes we are all going in 5 days next year.

Sounds like “Chad” has some explaining to do to his peers.

Who gave him the authority to tell the entire company what their RYO will look like next year?

Oops! Not to mention it is factually untrue. There will always be TW’s.

maybe you wouldn't be missing the calls if you actually showed up to the office like everyone else instead of running errands all day going to the home depot then logging into your onlyfans accoumt.

Really, how Townes is in his position and has been for so long is completely lost on the general population. The guy is blind to anything around him outside of his own accomplishments and self appreciating braggadocious commentary about how great he is. Just ask him, he will tell you how great he is.

“Use your vacation time if you need to be at home”. Ok, realize, sir, that means no work phone calls and laptop will remain closed. Ok with that, sir? If I need to take a vacation day I’ll damn well not be working one minute on my ‘vacation’ day

Then give us our own desk with all the equipment there, so then we can dump the laptops and stop being available all hours of the day and night.

“You people need to stop making self fulfilling prophecies.

Until you actually hear it, stfu.” ???

They’re literally commenting on the fact that they did hear it today. Also the prediction that 3x was a precursor to 5x was obvious all along. It’s the standard workweek.

office is good, if we have the RIGHT environment (ie pre-COVID, we had our own desks) to work in; not the drop ins where you don't see people you work with and TONS of loud people; unfortunately, ATT wants his cake and eat it too

5x per week has been the rule in CS&O (Townes) org. He reiterated it again on today’s town hall. While not all of his teams seem to be doing 5 that’s what he’s pushing and stated “there’s more work to do”. His answer to a RTO question was we’re not going to go back to meet other groups, they’ll be moving forward with 5 days to catch up. He said use your vacation time if you need to be home.

Chad call today he was asked about why his team is still 5 days when all others are 3. He said they’ll all be catching up to his team so he’s staying at 5. Also the Grinch said NO to remote during holidays. Apparently he has some magical decoder ring that tells him that the RTO stats are good. Would love to see those. Meanwhile morale is all time low. The d-mbest thing he said (and there was plenty) was that he said he got way more work done in the office during Thanksgiving week when no one was there and it was quiet. So it’s better not to deal with office BS and get work done I guess? Talking out of both sides of his mouth as usual.

Didn’t hear anything about that or any rumors there of. I mean really 3x per week is already pointless enough as is.
