My BRAKE is BROKE: Mustang Recall

Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2024 Ford Mustang models regarding an issue with the vehicle’s brake pedal.

The defect: in affected vehicles, the brake pedal pivot tube may not have been properly flared during the manufacturing process.

The hazards: if the brake pedal pivot tube has not been properly flared, the brake pedal could become loose, potentially resulting in loss of braking function and thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

Components: brake pedal and bracket assembly

Affected vehicles: select 2024 Ford Mustang models produced at the Flat Rock Assembly plant between June 7th, 2023 and October 25th, 2023.

Number of affected vehicles: 66

The fix: a dealership technician will inspect the brake pedal and bracket assembly and replace it, free of charge.

Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will begin on December 18th, 2023. The Ford reference number for this recall is 23S61. In the meantime, owners of affected 2024 Ford Mustang models are advised to avoid driving the vehicle until an inspection is performed and necessary repairs are made

@1jyg+1pXAPNqK That's easy to figure out since Model e hasn't engineered/launched a single vehicle yet.

That should not surprise you for buying a Ford vehicle. Something will definitely go wrong, safety recalls, warranty repairs, towing, engine catch on fire, auto rolling down the road when vehicle is in parked. This is only the starting list of problems with a Ford vehicle. Best of luck my friend.

Good work by the team to reduce the number of affected customers.

It amazes me as to how numb we are to recalls. No reactions plus no accountability equals no customers.
