Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

Nobody wants to work here

We've been trying to fill a position for months and nobody who comes even close to fitting the required qualifications has applied in all that time. I think Verizon's reputation has finally caught up with us. We desperately need help on my team but it doesn't look like we'll be getting it any time soon.

Art Laffer of the Laffer Curve stated "Once you start paying people to stay home and overtaxing people that work, you'll have less of a workforce "

He also said governments that do this are moving for total control of their citizens.

maybe we need a change in our government.

Verizon will eventually be sold for parts, what’s left of it. Glad I took VSP. My TC is now 2x. My first five years with Wireless were okay. But after Vodafone sold out and wireless merged up with the wireline mo--ns it all started going bad fast - Yahoo, AOL, Go90. When I left 5 Yee was a massive profit opportunity LOL. How much $$ is coming in from all thise Smart Cities? Maybe if the CEO was an engineer they would not have gone long on mmWave LOL. Oh yeah, also glad I switched to TMO.

Of course not. Why would they? The only thing the senior leaders know how to do is cut heads to try to keep up with the shrinking revenue. The industry openly laughs at Hans millimeter wave strategy.

I just severanced out this past August after working there 20 years. This company does not care about good employees its all about how much money they can make. I got tired of inadequate management, bullying and just the random BS they served everyday. This company will fail completely and has been since they stopped putting the customers first.
