Sleep. Get some sleep and do what you want for a few days or weeks. Eventually, you'll find something you want to explore either it's a hobby or decide it's time to find a new job...which in case you will update your resume and practice for interviews.

Overall, Nike is not the end of the road. If you have some friends, you can begin a start up or something.

Make sure you have a life outside of work and treat work for what it is, a job that Enables you to have a nice life. You work for a corporate mastodont that does not care about you but is really good at hiding that until you are no longer of value to it.

There is life outside the berm and it's pretty damn good.

@iof+1pXkuDdF I love this, I literally woke up this am thinking I’m not ready to start a new job and I know I’ll miss this break when it does end. Agree regarding enjoying the break. Think of it like a sabbatical!

I already have a giant list of things I want to do and get after!

As stated by others…take some time for yourself to heal. Do that thing you always wanted to do…start a new hobby…spend time with family…whatever. There is a huge opportunity to look back on this break from the working world as a real blessing so let that be your focus for a bit and don’t waste it. Then put you plan together and find your next better gig.

Agree 💯 with @zqr+1pXkuDdF
Give yourself grace and time
Focus on self care
It took me time to heal
But now I am healthier then I've been in a decade and have an amazing job making 1.4x more then I was getting paid at Nike for a company that actually cares about you!!!

You give yourself some grace. Mourn, get angry, smash your crystal swoosh and meaningless "awards". The stages of grief will come and go.....let them, dont fight it. Tr to eat right, exercise and spend time with friends. There's an external group called 6453 Alumni - some members are cool-aid drinkers and Swoosh tattoo owners, others are hardened veterans. Talk to everyone you can and be open to change. The grief and angst will pass, the anger won't. Seek counseling if you're up for it....I don't know anyone who hasn't benefitted from it.
Be kind to yourself. Change is difficult at best, even when you're in charge.
There is life, and jobs, outside the berm.
There are more of you/us than are left continuing their awful management practices within the berm.

No idea. Mostly wondering does anyone actually care about others anymore? How do you lay someone off with record results and glowing feedback and keep some of the most abrasive and toxic people on the team? I wish leaders would validate what they are told and see through the backstabbing bullsh-t. You aren’t going to fix this by keeping the same stagnant folks.

For those of us who Nike just hired within the last year or two, who turned town multiple offers because of what was sold to us that never came to fruition, we feel screwed. Don’t know an answer, just know this is daunting and beyond frustrating.

You got this. I came close a few years back and said never again will I feel that vulnerable. So I have worked every week for 4 yrs to build a network with search firms and talent acquisition leaders at companies. I spend 50% of my time looking outside Nike all the time. One I may get a great offer I can’t refuse and two Nike layoffs sometimes impact good people and don’t make sense. You can be one of those people. The warm orange swoosh blanket and orange koolaid is temporary. This is not a family. I know we say that but it’s not. And when it turns the wrong way you find out fast. Don’t let yourself get complacent. Small steps each week equal a network to help you when you need it. Remember 50% outside all the time. Good luck to you all.

I don't think I could, and that's what worries me the most.
