The why behind all of this timing is obvious. It benefits Robin. He wants to get his greedy little mitts on his millions before the board wises up to his lack of ideas and leadership.He doesn’t care about 401k matches because multi-millionaires don’t need them.
It may be industry standard, but that typically means nothing to this dump. I’m with the other poster that thinks there’s something behind this move that benefits the bank - they wouldn’t move this up if it only benefited us worker bees

Would the motive be to get people to leave sooner ? It only one month but agree, there is something in there that benefits the bank.
Related question…ignoring the amount of the bonuses for a moment. What is the corporate benefit to moving the bonus into January? Is it incremental to eventually moving it to December for some reason? I cant quite figure out the motivation but it’s certainly not altruistic, I am sure of that.
My manager said to bring change of a dollar to make it easy for the bonus.
