Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Smoke and Mirrors?

I don't know why we're all so concerned; AT&T appears strong and profitable. :|

"Best-Ever Mobility Services operating income" for Q3 and nearly half a million postpaid phone net adds. Things are going so well that free cash projections have been raised for the year.

"As another path for growth, AT&T specifically called out its partnership with Cisco Systems in which the two companies are helping businesses move to the cloud for their calling needs via Webex Go with AT&T. " (But we'll just ignore the huge Cisco critical zero-day vulnerability that has network admins everywhere scrambling.)

So, see we were all wailing and gnashing teeth needlessly; everything is great at T. Links below to sources.

Profitable? Most likely if we never bought the satellite dish network, Time Warner. And don't forget the failed Tmobile merger over 10 years ago which set AT&T back another 4-5 billion.

What good news? Is everyone forgetting the $4-$6 billion dollar loan which helped free cash flow. It is all smoke and mirrors folks. This place is in an alligator death roll

How is T debt doing? Is it still growing? Did not hear anything when T will become debt free. Watch the Repo Depo guys to show up at the door again. Selling of assets and laying off employees will continue.

The Stink brushed off all the bad decisions he made and took credit for buying some spectrum. He must think all is forgotten.

Cook the books and paid workers, paid the dividend, paid the debt. Go Stankey.

to the du----s comment below mine: 3q wouldn’t have results from layoffs or RTO as they weren’t off payroll until 10/6 lmaoo

so yes while we got these “great results” all those people we lost were definitely still on payroll

3Q results kind of says the exact opposite of what the remote workers were saying.

They either quit or quite quit and the company did better???

Maybe you weren’t the ones that were important high performers.

US aid to Israel and Ukraine = $100B
AT&T debt = $140B
Kind of puts things into perspective!
Go Stankey! What a loser.

Stankey Street ?

Today’s performance was brought to you by the Letter “W” for “We Won”.

Seriously, I thought I was watching Sesame Street.

Talking down to us as though we are preschool children.

As for Big Bird McElfresh, the less said the better.

How did we add mobility subscribers with the debt we have?

Yeah and all took to be profitable was to make everyone sui-idal, lay people off with RTO and rip them off by not giving a severance and tank commissions. Rip

I’ll believe it when the raises and bonuses come out. Till then, I’m happy to hear the good news, but I want to see the fruits of what we all worked hard on all year and all the mess we’ve had to deal with and continue to deal with.

“We don't accept good news, only bad news. We don't want to hear anything that remotely makes AT&T and Stankey look good.”

We want good news, not PR Spin. I will say it’s good to remain optimistic, it’s just hard to believe what Stankey says. That’s his own doing.

Everything is great until you are laid off!

Ask all the people that get notices and each week!
