Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Earnings nice, what about debt?

Nice to have solid quarter, but didn’t see anything re: current debt level? Anyone catch it?

Someone said: "The debt is gone. We got rid of the debt when we spun off Warner and Directv."

Where do we find these credulous souls? Wow! It must be nice to live in magic world where Stankey makes things disappear by just not talking about them.

The guy onstage said T reduced debt by $3B. What? Are they making minimum payments? His body language said he was being untruthful.

Gargamel AKA Stankey reads the posts on this thread. You can tell because he made lame attempts to refute what he sees posted.

He’s so ineffective and unpopular.

Great quarter, now our stock is only down 30% year over year. No wonder shareholders love us

Hard to put any real value on the numbers reported by Stankey and Desroaches. These are the same imbeciles that claimed first quarter numbers were way down because customers stopped paying their bills! Bearing in mind that most all customers are setup on autopay.

I don’t buy the comments about customers staying or coming to T because of quality / value,…. People get in a routine, most with autopay and probably only switch carriers when they need a new device and at that time look for the best deal. The rest just stick to their existing carrier. I would bet more leave because of poor customer service.

Highest numbers seen for IPhone pre orders in a long time. There were some aggressive promos - you may recall the excuse in Q1 for low FCF was the “expected” device payments from 4q22. I wonder how the successful iPhone launch will play into this once it is added to the holiday promos.

Another thing, how much of this increased revenue, etc is related to never ending price increases by T?

Just take the W and sell some shares - stock is up 7% today. Take some profits, don’t worry it will drop again and your match is in T stock anyways.

Debt is something everyone has. Not an issue for a company that makes $30B a quarter. Great cash flow offsets the debt.

And what the bleep does “make faster progress on living our culture pillars” mean? Get in line for your next beating everyone is my guess.

Just sweep our $140B, that's billion with a capital B, under the rug. No one will ever notice!
Can you just see it now, Stankey getting all those attaboys for 3Q results! What a loser!

Great job Big John. We appreciate your leadership.
Gradual employee cuts now standing at total 152,000, lets cut 5000 per quarter.
Great RTO policy will help a lot this quarter.

Thank-you for setting the path and clear direction for our corporation.
