Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Any furlough or layoffs news?

Please only credible sources. Iam aging in dog years when I started working for HBT last year, either leadership is shuffling or furlough and layoffs are happening.

I don't know about that. At the start of the year this board called it first that DA would be booted out and that VK would replace him, months before it happened.
It was mentioned quite clearly on here in March/April that a reorg would be announced in Q3 of this year and implemented in 2024, that just happened! I also very clearly remember on the same posts earlier this year an individual stating 2024 would see drastic changes and a huge reduction in force. The only prediction I have not seen come to fruition yet is the Q3/Q4 cull of SPS (to be IA), and oh boy anyone with half a brain knows that is on it's way! Actually, no, to be fair it was bounced on here about Aero being sold of to GE Aero but nothing came of that and I do not know anything of Aero myself to make my own judgement... that call may be a doozy.

This site isn't very accurate anymore. I'll probably know when you get a layoff on the day it happens. This goes the same for an RIF.

The tire director and his buddies were pretty accurate. Now we got people who spread propaganda.

When hit the tire director and his buddies were posting here. This site had about 80% accuracy.

I wish the old days would return. Now this site it has about 15% to 20% accuracy.

Anyone involved with project work should consider going elsewhere. Honeywell only wants to manufacture widgets or provide software licenses. If you don't see yourself fitting into either of those niches, start looking and then move. There Is nothing here for you in the long term. Just look at Honeywell's performance in this aspect. Really sad.

Yeh, if I was in what was SPS safety products right now I would be looking for a new job quick sharp.
I also believe handheld productivity products are in for the chop too. They will keep fixed scanning for their function in automation.
Actually same can be said for HGAS too, dumping portables keeping fixed!

Current focus is on safety products.
Lot of corp attention on IT functions as well because of comments (really nasty comments) made to all aero leaders as they did skip levels. IT is seen as as huge problem and the "technical debt" whining is not being accepted anymore. SJ built a bloated org that doesnt function. Look for her to move.

I recall a great article from DC for a Harvard Business School publication where he talked about avoiding layoffs by sharing the pain through furloughs. What a joke - those cost savings and hardship, especially for those in a lower salary bracket, ended up In DC’s bank account. Who’s kidding who? No morals.

I don’t know. If there’s gonna be any furlough, or RIF, they usually take place before the holidays.

Then they don’t have to pay you 401(k) contributions. They don’t have to match you. When you’re not here on the day the payout.

They’ll probably let you off the day before the payout. Then bring you back one day after the payout. Then they don’t have to match you on your 401(k).

I could see this company laying everybody off one day before the payout. Then a week later bringing you back. Wait a second. I better not give them any ideas. They might actually do it.
