Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Benefit Enrollment for displaced employees

First of all we received no notice even though they say we were mailed out notifications. Second you must call per displacements. Third once done there is no way to get a written confirmation until after Nov 9th and by then it is too late to make a change. Do not call HR number as the call goes to India. The first guy spoke little English and could not get his head set to work. Second guy told me I was terminated and not eligible for benefits. Third guy kept placing me on hold and said I was done. So I called displacements and of course the third guy did it all wrong. You need to call immediately and get it done. Do not wait until Nov 9 as you will be on hold for hours since they are short staffed and not trained

This has been the only useful thing I've found for benefits comparison so far for displaced employees. It at least lets you see the details of the 3 options. There's an enrollment section there but I haven't messed with it because I'm not enrolling for 2024.

The pamphlet they mailed out was pretty useless. 🙄

I hate when people post things they don’t know anything about. That is 100 percent correct that if you are termed in your severance period you will not be able to access workday to sign up for benefits. Only if you are still active so stop correcting people that are trying to help us with your misinformation

If you are in your working/non working notice you are still able to do this in work day. If not then you CAN NOT do this in workday and you must call in.

"Who cares if there re two other threads you idi&t. Wells is trying to scr&w us again by making it impossible to give displaced employees benefits that we are owed."

I'm the person to whom you're replying. I'm also displaced, but I did receive notification in Workday and signed up for my benefits as I have every other year. I realize, however, that everyone's experience might be the same. It's tempting to think that Wells is trying to sc--w us all, but if so they're not doing it consistently.

Have a blessed day.

what do you mean impossible? they provide a path to sign up so follow that path. as for having offshore people handle these calls, what is illegal about that?

Who cares if there re two other threads you idi&t. Wells is trying to scr&w us again by making it impossible to give displaced employees benefits that we are owed. Shame on them. I won’t hesitate to sue them if my benefits are not right

"I guess you speak several languages perfectly? Remember that English is a second or 3rd language for these people."

Irrelevant. I'm not here to teach them English, I'm here to sign up for benefits. It is Wells Fargo's job to only hire people who can do the job. Those people they are hiring now can't do the job because they can't speak English. It is Wells Fargo's responsibility to only hire people who can do the job, not my job to teach them English without pay.

This is appalling behavior on Wells Fargo’s part and doesn’t seem legal. Oh wait, we know how WF operates.

@OP+1pcWtH1L did "displacements" provide a number to call?
A number from a previous thread listed 844-779-9564: ABE (annual benefit enrollment)
that number does route to India. And yes, you are placed on too many holds of "2 minutes" while the rep finds the answer.
