Thread regarding Ford layoffs

It's obvious quality is not Job 1 at Ford

Ford has record numbers of recalls every year. Ford spent over $3 billions per year for warranty cost. Customers having to take their vehicles back to the dealership every other months for repairs.

Instead of rebuilding the foundation to make better quality products, Ford leadership try to paint the walls so that it looks good from the outside.

This goes to show quality isn't Job 1 at Ford for the last 30 years. I am ready to retire from Ford and enjoy life. Best of luck to you all. I hope that Ford doesn't go bankrupt anytime soon.

I drove management lease vehicles from 1998 through 2018. Most of them needed few or no repairs during the time I leased them. I don't know if the current models are of lesser quality than the pre-2018 ones, but I suspect that this is the case.

Wait til you retire and try to buy a car on Z-plan or have to go to a dealer for service. Its an absolute nightmare if you arent in SE Michigan. I left for down south and now get to experience what regular customers have to deal with. Its much much worse than I ever imagined.

I don’t think ford management has any idea what a good, reliable car is like. They have been driving cr-ppy management lease cars year over year. And to reward their ignorance, ford garage fix’s any issues for free.

Most LL said that they love their management lease vehicles and told me how nice or good the vehicles are. They all have been lying all of these year by painting a pretty pictures. The truth is all in the market data from JD Power and other customers. Ford makes junks.

Management at Ford renewed their vehicles every year. They have no idea how bad these vehicles are once they are a bit older than 1 year. I had my management lease vehicles, where were nice because the repairs are made at no cost to me. I had problems with each and every vehicle and they are new cars too.

I don't think Ford listens to the voice of the customers. The cars has the same problems year after year.

Good luck in your retirement. I guess you are taking the lump sum.
I think all management should have to go to the dealership for their repair/recalls. They have no idea what the common folk go through.
