The 2024 schedule has been established and possibly released. There is one per month (I think Dec is excluded), just as there was this year. The dates for the prep steps leading up to each surplus date have also been set. These dates do not mean a surplus will take place, they are a place holders for any business unit that needs to cut or if there is a company wide cut they will use this same calendar. Not sure, if needed, if they would have one outside of this schedule.

Just keep nodding your head up and down when stanky speaks and you will be off the cut list.

Was laid off in October. It’s so nice to not have to worry about surpluss every month. For those who are getting laid off hang in there. There is life outside of the big globe. Every company I’ve interviewed with has had a better culture than AT&T.

Just be glad you got your "walkin papers" before moving to TX, obtaining a new high interest mortgage, and paying to move all you worldly possessions. As you view this company in your rearview mirror, you will be happy you were kicked to the curb.

Today, for me. Good riddance to all the BS! Best wishes for all who need to remain employed.

Expect them to be ongoing until they reach their final numbers but, they'll take a look at how many are sticking around after the last " incentive " to leave voluntarily.

They'll adjust their strategy around those numbers accordingly and come up with another bullsh*t scheme to increase the pressure.

Go to work every Monday hoping to make it through Friday without hearing of more layoffs in our organization . It’s the life we live here, and have lived here for the last 5+ years. It’s unsettling to look over our shoulders every single day, but the job still needs to be done. Unfortunately I understand there is no long term career employment here anymore. We all just need to recognize what is happening and plan for our next step. It’s really quite simple. Plan your next career move and leave on your own terms, or stay until they tap you on the shoulder…either way it will end up with same outcome for literally everyone, working someplace other than T.

Are these known surplus dates or is it supposed to be a surprise? I have know that I would be surplus Dec 1. Is this the wave 1 y’all are talking about?

It's kind of like the Costco sales books, a new one comes out every month.
