Benefits end the last day of the month in which you terminate in the US. You should get cobra info within 14 days and have 60 days to enroll
Has anyone compared your cobra price to the cost listed in your total compensation? I swear my cobra quote is twice what it had said in my total compensation. But I didn't have access to that info after I was canned.
According to the law, you have 60 days from when your coverage ends to elect to opt in to COBRA. Your enrollment will be retroactive to the first day after your coverage elapsed (so you’ll have to pay the premiums starting then).
