Just imagine if CR would take a 50% salary cut, he could save 1,000s of employees!

Salary? Let's start with his total compensation which is reported to be $31.8M in FY2023 of which half is $15.9M, and a lower limit for "1000s" of 2000, which means each employee saved would have a maximum loaded labor cost of $7,950 annually. That's salary, vacation time, sick time, health care, the cost of the building, furniture, lab equipment, water, sewage, heating, cooling, electricity, telecommunications, etc...

If you feel you should be somewhere else, go somewhere else, and even if you feel you should stay you should keep your skills and professional network up to date in case someone else decides you should be somewhere else. Layoffs along with tornadoes, fires, cancers, flesh eating bacteria, divorces and a million other potentially devastating things are part of life and denial won't stop them. It's time to start adulting.

Once the market realizes how Chuck has been misleading them, like the employees, Cisco is going to have a hard time. I don't know how he can sleep at night. The lies will eventually catch up with him.

Good leaders will take a salary cut to save the employees. Just imagine if CR would take a 50% salary cut, he could save 1,000s of employees! But we know that won't happen. The last EVP that retired, Kelly, literally told us on a Cisco Beat that she was going to go invest all her money. They know they are making themselves rich, and they don't care!

CR is able to convince pension funds and Wall Street that Cisco is an innovative tech company. To be honest, he's a highly skilled snake oil salesman.

He might even deserve his salary.

Keep the layoffs flowing so ELT can earn more.

Compare what you're paying Chuck to what you're clueless software staff are wasting creating then not actually fixing bugs it's a drop in the bucket. He's essentially stuck with a staff that knows nothing about development and competent replacements aren't going to throw away their career to join Cisco to fix 40 year old cr-p code.

I doubt there is anyone alive on earth right now who could take Chuck's place and completely change the culture to an effective one, and I'm extremely confident if such a person did exist they'd take a better job elsewhere.
