SVP Arrest Update

His arraignment has been “reset by the court” to 11/29/2023, according to the Montgomery County Court Register of Actions:

http://odyssey.mctx.org/Unsecured/CaseDetail.aspx?CaseID=2643168

Not sure why the link is considered “unsecured” but if you don’t trust the link, you can look up the case by the case number:

23-10-14993

Montgomery County District Clerk’s Office:

https://www.mctx.org/departments/departments_d_-_f/district_clerk/inquiry_index.php

Go to the index of court cases and search by case number.

Most of us are entertained by the self destruction this VP just committed, but there are likely a few employees, that called him sponsor, that are devastated.

Lol to the comment “Someone has a vendetta against him (SVP). His wife likely does NOW. The rest are just people who know what the wrath of EM is like for minuscule issues, accidental CC charge, etc etc. RM will show the average employee the door in a heartbeat. What a double standard out in the wide open now!

Exxon Management and Ken Paxton, birds of a feather. Corrupt TX leader and his corporate overlords turning TX into a third world country.

@hcz Either that or some sort of plea deal that gets the charges reduced.

It’s interesting that the only charge he’s facing is for 2nd degree felony SA. No mention of charges related to pr---------n or disorderly conduct.

I hope he pleads not guilty and this goes to trial. Can’t wait to see what comes out during discovery.

@phd People are talking about him because he was arrested, booked, and is set to be arraigned on felony SA charges. This would have gotten anyone else fired for cause immediately.

From the website of his lawyer, Dan Cogdell:

Time and again, Dan has substantiated his mettle as a courtroom force to be reckoned with, successfully representing defendants in such high-stakes cases as

Attorney General Ken Paxton Impeachment Trial (acquitted on all counts)
The Enron litigation
The Branch Davidian trial
The trial of alternative cancer treatment doctor Stanislaw Burzynski
The Houston City Hall bribery case

@sql That’s what it said under “events & orders of the court”.

I’m wondering why they rolled it to late November. The state is clearly charging him with second-degree felony SA. Cases like this typically move faster.

Didn’t know his lawyer was the same guy who got KP off. Tells you everything you need to know about Exxon.
