RSUs are laughable. They’re worthless.
RSUs only make sense. It guarantees the company will have you as an employee for at least the vesting period before you can bail. Otherwise there are people that will take advantage of the relocation assistance, then shortly after quit the company for somewhere else.

The waiting is brutal especially with no consistent expectations or guidance for leaders to show care for their teams. I didn’t think my manager could be any more of a jerk but has essentially ghosted me since the announcement and not reached out once. Why should I try to do my best work if my leader can’t even ask how I’m doing?! Even if it’s fake, just try to show that you have empathy.
