Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Intel slight of hand takes negative GAAP earnings and turns into positive $.41 / share.

Subtract out acquisition costs and share based compensation and turn a loss into a profit.
Non-GAAP accounting running out of control.

Sales down 8% from prior year... but according the press release the company is doing a bang up job. Set the bar low enough and every quarter you can exceed expectations... Until you run out of money and the tumble weeds start rolling...

  1. 2B what a disaster, IFS 311M WTF!
  1. 6 to 15.6B outlooks, Intel has no real chance to be relevant as an IDM or Foundry.

Lucky for Intel TSMC wants Intel to survive as they aren’t stupid a monopoly will get too much scrutiny.

But face the facts Intel irrelevant and AMD, Nvidia, Apple, and others are all kicking Intel

Always look at the cash flow statements, cash doesn't lie.

Cash generated from operations was $6.847 B

Cash spent on Property, Plant and Equipment was $19.059 B.

So, this is a business that isn't generating enough cash to sustain investments in fabs...

The business was down 8% overall and down 10% in the flagship DCAI business that includes AI and servers.

I suppose the hope is that some day the core PC business will turn around and the new foundry customers will line up for wafer slots... Until I see some proof, I wouldn't go long on this name.
