I was on a Q and A call today for folks impacted by surplus and iff payroll November 6th. It went for well over two hours and people still had questions when they had to stop the call. Over 150 people attended. It was kind of sad but for me at
this point I will be glad to go.

I think the people who broke the company and spent like congress should be the first to go. just because I can get a zero percent interest rate loan doesn't mean I should take one.
I missed the call. Can someone recap the highlights?

Business is run by people. Anyone who's involved in picking who to let go will say it's all business so they don't bear any responsibility.

AT&T c-suite have no souls.
Yes they can!
Can they do that?
Enjoy the freedom and newly rediscovered happiness without this horrific giant burden on your shoulders weighing down and destroying any degree of joy in life. I hope to follow closely behind.
What an a--hole. Why not leave if you hate everyone so much.

Enjoy the LESS STRESS!
Sadly, the people that lead that call will tell you “we have these calls all the time”.
I’m sure probably weekly.
Congratulations on your early retirement!
OP here. It is not always that clear and there's a lot riding on doing everything correctly. There is definitely a lot of information available, almost too much and its not always clear and cannot possibly cover every combination of circumstances. I read through it all and also spoke with the surplus hotline and still didn't feel 100 percent confident. For instance I am retiring at the same time and want to make sure I do it so I get the six months CEC and also the retiree dental and vision. Administratively there is a lot to get right and my situation is pretty straightforward. That said it was obvious some on the call had not bothered much about reading the documents that are available.

What were the main questions people had?
