It's done. You all get back to work.

@cvf+1phvOHEv - Wrong! Kumar and Ford said they had maxed out on how much they could give, but willing to move things around. Which THEY DID.

Example: moved up from 23% to 25% and moved down the sign-in pay from $12000 to $5000. There are few other things they moved around. All-in-all, when the UAW saw that Ford wasn't going to move anymore, that's when they said Okay... we're good to proceed.

Uaw won. They ate the rich and sp-t them out. Ford lost...paid 50% higher than initial offer & lost kcap profits. They should have ponied up early instead of saying no more to give then announced stock dividend. Who is the bonehead who did that? Well they ended up giving more after losing kcap profits. Ford negotiators were rookies compared to uaw negotiators.

Well this confirms why there are continuous 2.5% annual raises annual for GSRs, or less. Yes that is a decimal point, 2.5 not 25%. That is reserved for the UAW mafia which apparently gets whatever it wants while costing Ford billions.

....and there goes the salaried profit sharing for 2023, and beyond...... Will this decision resolve the quality/recall issues?

The 32 hour week thing was a joke from the very beginning...you're going to take an attendance problem that contributed to a Union employee stereotype anyway and what...make it worse?? LOL spare me...we all want to make almost 100k for showing up half the time...but I'm sorry. Yes if there are any re-percussions the salaried people will feel it because they are "at will". If you are a salaried person you should be looking out for #1 anyway. No UAW to save you from incompetence (not that all Union employees need it) by there's a stereotype for a reason.

@gir+1phvOHEv i think rather, it is going to encourage non union plants to want to join the union. before it was: what does the union give you anyway? they just collect dues and give them to democrats. because back then the union and the companies were in cahoots. now here is the answer on what they give. though, the union needs to stop endorsing and giving money to political candidates and they would get a heck of a lot more interest also. there is a lot of "i dont want my dues money going to the democrats" talk, right? seeing that the democrats dont support the working man nearly as much as they did in 1935, i can see their point.

@cvf Kumar said they couldn’t offer anymore without sacrificing investments somewhere else… the question is what will they choose to sacrifice?

@uov+1phvOHEv I'm sure Fain asked for 40% + 32 hour week knowing he'd never get that, but he still got a very good deal for the UAW. I'm disappointed Ford caved as much as they did, since it will give Tesla, Toyota, Honda, and the others an even better competitive advantage. I think Ford is hastening its decline with this deal.

@uov+1phvOHEv Ah yes, the woke department. They sit next to the bracket department in PDC.

Mexico is having recruiting fairs for engineers. Tells you everything you need to know.

By the way, no mention of including unionizing battery plants by the media in the tentative agreement….so where does that stand?

25% ? What happened to 40 ? Only 15 more to go. Maybe if we eliminate the woke department we can get there. Or another redundant upper layer or two. Any word on upper management taking a freeze ? But the world is coming to an end because the rank & file are getting a raise to barely keep up with inflation.

Fail on both sides. Fain promised a 32 hr work week and he failed on that. That was the #1 priority for most of the fellow union brothers. So don't be saying the UAW won here, they lost out on the most important item to get us competitive with European hourly workers.

Kumar said before that Ford couldn't offer more, but it now looks like they did. This proves Kumar was lying.

Good job UAW. Solidarity works but turnip stories do not with the strong.

Now salary will get the company turnip story...no more money to give. Salary solidarity? doubtful, likely will sit on the lily pad ......riverters riverters riverters got all money.)

Once again, salaried, and more specifically GSR's, are going to take it for the team. Being a GSR just became the least desirable job at Ford as GSR's will soon have the worst benefits of all Ford employees, the never ending message of do more, deal with tye churn, work harder, and work longer, not to mention the never ending threat of headcount reductions. Consider the constant barrage of messages we receive every day about quality & cost, quality & cost, quality & cost ... and this is what management does to manage it? I don't know what to believe anymore.

They'll take it out on the Salaried workforce. I was already hearing of groups taking hits over the past month with headcount reductions. We already have spending & hiring freezes. Time to bail.
